Fine Art Print is a term often used within the professional photography and art world and refers to prints of very high quality prints. However, it is not simply a guarantee that these prints meet all set quality criteria. The major difference between Fine Art paper and normal paper is in the composition of the paper and the inks used for printing.
With this type of prints, the intention is that by using the right paper in combination with the right pigment inks, the 'archival' standard for the prints is achieved with a shelf life of at least 100 years. The term 'archival' in context refers to a material, such as paper, that is suitable for long-term archiving without changing color.
